No. All evaluation data is stored exclusively on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud account. AviGrade has no backend servers and no access to your data. No analytics, telemetry or usage data is collected.
Yes. The grade for each competency is calculated as min(HOW MANY, HOW OFTEN, TEM), exactly as specified in chapter 8.2.4 of the IATA CBTA Guidance Material, 4th Edition (2025). HOW MANY thresholds follow the vocabulary in chapter 8.2.1, and TEM outcomes follow chapters 8.2.3 and 9.1.
Lite is a quick CBTA calculator for pilot competencies — nothing is saved when you close the app. Full unlocks session saving and management, instructor evaluation mode, two trainees per session, PDF export with signatures, iCloud sync, norms, backup and iPhone access. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription.
Yes, in the Full version. A single session supports up to two trainees. You can switch between seats during the evaluation, and each trainee gets their own independent competency profile, grades and signature on the PDF report.
Yes, with the Full version. iPhone access is included in the one-time purchase. Sessions created on iPad sync automatically to iPhone via iCloud, so you always have your records at hand between flights.
AviGrade can create automatic backups daily or weekly, stored securely on your device and included in your iCloud backup. You can also trigger a manual backup at any time, export it as a file, and restore it later — useful when migrating to a new device.
